Battery Plate Drying Chamber
Battery plate drying chamber for post-cure moisture removal. Uniform vertical airflow, 40–90°C. For lead-acid battery plate production lines.
Indeecon Battery Plate Curing & Drying Chambers are engineered specifically for the "Hydroset" process in lead-acid battery manufacturing. These chambers provide precise control over temperature and humidity to ensure the conversion of lead paste into stable crystalline structures (3BS to 4BS), which is critical for achieving high Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), extended cycle life, and reliable performance in automotive and deep-cycle applications.
Advanced PLC architecture delivering unmatched stability and real-time parameter tracking.
Industrial-grade materials engineered for 24/7 continuous operational stress.
Flexible interfaces for seamless integration with factory automation networks.
Multi-tiered fail-safes and interlocks ensuring personnel and facility protection.
Technical Data
Background
Hydroset is a controlled curing process where lead oxide (tribasic lead sulfate, or 3BS) converts into tetrabasic lead sulfate (4BS) in the presence of controlled humidity and temperature. This transformation stabilizes the plate structure, dramatically improving battery performance metrics such as Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), cycle life, and charge acceptance. Without proper hydroset curing, battery plates remain weak and susceptible to premature failure.
